PROCEDURE STEPS

Note. Verify that the radio is satellite compatible. Look for the SIRIUS® logo on the radio.

1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the rear seat cushion (1).
3. Remove the rear seat back.
4. Remove both upper C-pillar trim panels.
5. Remove the left lower C-pillar trim.
6. Remove both door opening scuff plates on the left side of the vehicle.
7. Remove the left upper cowl trim panel.
8. Remove the left lower cowl trim panel (3).
9. Remove the vehicle left side carpet retainers.
10. Remove the steering column cover (1) and disconnect the electrical switch.
11. Remove the sound insulator. CAUTION: Pulling the antenna cable straight out of the radio without pulling on the locking antenna connector could damage the cable or radio.
12. Remove the instrument panel center bezel (1) and disconnect electrical connectors (3).
13. Remove and disconnect the radio.
14. Remove the overhead console assembly and disconnect the electrical connectors.
15. Remove the sun visor assemblies and disconnect the electrical connectors.
16. Remove the assist handle assembly.
17. Remove the upper A-pillar trim panels (2).
18. Remove the lower B-pillar trim panels.
19. Remove the upper B-pillar trim panels.
20. Release clips and lower the headliner.
21. Locate center line of roof, cut out template as indicated, center template and tape in place.
22. Carefully center punch at the two locations for the antenna mounting holes. Remove and discard template. CAUTION: Do not drill more than a 6 mm (1/4 in.). Failure to do so results in damage to the vehicles headliner.
23. Drill a 3mm (1/8 in.) pilot hole at the marked locations.
24. Drill a 5mm (13/64 in.) diameter hole at the mark closest to the vehicles rear glass.
25. Using a hole saw, drill a 19mm (3/4 in.) hole at the mark forward of the previous hole drilled at the second mark.
26. Deburr holes and remove rough edges.
27. Apply Mopar® Corrosion Inhibitor, p/n 82300508, to the bare metal surface of the drilled holes.
28. Clean and prepare bare metal surfaces.
29. Apply primer to bare metal surfaces.
30. Route harness and set antenna in place.
31. Install fastener and tighten to spec. Tighten to 9Nm (80in.lbs.)
32. Connect hard-shell connector.
33. Route the antenna cable down the left C-pillar, along the left inner apron along the lower instrument panel brace and up to the radio opening. Secure to the vehicles body electrical harness and lower instrument panel brace.
34. Raise headliner and secure clips.
35. Connect and install both sun visor assemblies.
36. Install the assist handle assembly.
37. Install the upper A-pillar trim panels.
38. Connect electrical and install the overhead console.
39. Connect the antenna cable into the open antenna port on the radio. NOTE: The antenna ports are keyed and color coded for there specific antenna connection. NOTE: All SDARS antenna connections are Yellow.
40. Connect electrical and install the radio.
41. Connect electrical and install the center bezel assembly.
42. Install the lower C-pillar trim panel.
43. Install the upper C-pillar trim panels.
44. Install the upper B-pillar trim panels.
45. Install the lower B-pillar trim panels.
46. Install the rear seat back.
47. Install rear seat cushion.
48. Install the sound insulator.
49. Connect electrical and install the steering column cover.
50. Install the vehicle left side carpet retainers.
51. Install the lower cowl trim panel.
52. Install the upper cowl trim panel
53. Install the door opening scuff plates.
54. Connect the negative battery cable.

SDARS VEHICLE CONFIGURATION

Vehicle VIN must be updated with the sales code of the added accessory in order to enable system functionality.

Using the DealerCONNECT website and a scantool, complete the procedure below.

1. Log on to Http://dealerconnect.chrysler.com.
2. In the "Vehicle Options" screen under the "Global Claims System" category in the "Service tab, enter the vehicle VIN and add the sales code RSC (SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO) as a "Dealer Installed option".
3. Confirm the new sales code has been successfully added to the VIN.

With the ScanTool connected to both the internet (via Ethernet port or wireless connection) and the vehicle, follow the steps below

1. In the "Initial Start Up" screen select VEHICLE PREPARATION
2. Toggle down and highlight RESTORE VEHICLE CONFIGURATION
3. Press START
4. Press NEXT
5. If necessary, select proper vehicle line and model year and press NEXT
6. Confirm correct selection and press NEXT
7. Enter vehicle VIN using the on screen keyboard or confirm that the Auto Filled VIN plate is correct and press NEXT
8. Press OK
9. Enter the user ID, password and dealer code using the one screen keyboard and press OK

Note. At this point the ScanTool is downloading the vehicle configuration from the network.

1. Confirm that the new vehicle configuration has been successfully programmed, follow the on screen instructions and press FINISH

VALIDATION PROCESS

from the "Initial Start up" screen on the ScanTool follow the steps below

1. Using a ScanTool follow the menu to ECU VIEW , select either TPIMCGW CENTRAL GATEWAY or FCMCGW CENTRAL GATEWAY depending on the vehicle.
2. Select MORE OPTIONS, ECU DETAILS, and then CONFIG INFO .
3. Verify SDARV - - - - SET is present.
4. Drive the vehicle outside for a clear satellite signal to the antenna and verify system operation.

Note. Prior to installation, obtain the four digit PIN from the dealership's parts department.

RESTORE VEHICLE CONFIGURATION

Note. The wiTECH software level must be at the latest release to perform this procedure.

1. VIN must be updated with the sales code of the added accessory in order to enable system functionality. Using the DealerCONNECT website and the wiTECH diagnostic application, complete the vehicle configuration.
2. Log on to https://dealerconnect.chrysler.com.
3. In the "Vehicle Option" screen under the "Global Claims System" category in the "Service" tab, enter the vehicle VIN, four digit pin number obtained from the dealership parts department and add sales code(s) noted below as a "Dealer Installed Option".

XBM (REMOTE START)

1. Confirm that the new sales code has been successfully added to the VIN.
2. With the wiTECH diagnostic application, perform the following steps form the Initial Start Up Screen

1. Select the "DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES" tab
2. Highlight "RESTORE VEHICLE CONFIGURATION"
3. Select the "Run Diagnostic" button
4. Select "CONTINUE"
5. Verify that the vehicle VIN number is correct
6. Once verified, select the "Correct VIN" button
7. Note On-Screen instructions and select the "Close" button

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Open the hood.
3. Locate the opening (1) designated for the hood ajar switch on the brace near the rear passenger side of the engine compartment.
4. Route the hood switch harness (1) underneath the brace and through the opening designated for the hood switch.
5. Connect the hood switch (2) to the hood switch harness (1).
6. Once connected, insert the hood switch (2) into the opening, turn the hood switch (2) until properly seated.
7. Route the hood switch harness (2) into the engine compartment.
8. Locate the factory ground lug (1) on the passenger wheel well/shock tower. Remove the nut.
9. Install the hood switch ground terminal onto the factory ground lug and reinstall the nut.
10. Secure the hood switch harness (2) to the vehicle harness using the tie straps supplied in the kit.
11. Open the positive battery cable nut cover on the TIPM to expose nut.
12. Remove the battery cable nut and the battery cable from the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM).
13. Remove the TIPM cover.
14. Disengage the three retaining tabs (1) to remove the TIPM from it's mounting bracket.
15. Lift the TIPM to gain access to the connectors.
16. Locate the connector labeld B (1).
17. Disconnect the connector labled B (1) from the TIPM.
18. Remove the secondary lock from the front of the connector (1).
19. Locate pin cavity 10 (10) on the connector's mating side.
20. Looking into the connector's rear/wire side view, insert the violet/light blue wire (1) from the hood switch harness into the pin 10 cavity.
21. Install the secondary lock to the front of the connector (1).
22. Connect the connector labled B (1) to the TIPM.
23. Position the TIPM over the mounting bracket.
24. Engage the three retaining tabs (1) by pushing down on the TIPM. Make sure the three retaining tabs (1) snap into place.
25. Install the cover to the TIPM.
26. Install the battery cable nut and the battery cable to the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM).
27. Close the positive battery cable nut cover on the TIPM.
28. Using trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, remove the center trim/radio bezel.
29. Using trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, remove the trim panel located on the left side door opening.
30. Remove the screw securing the lower instrument panel cover to the left side door opening.
31. Remove the screw securing the lower instrument panel cover near the hood latch switch.
32. Remove the lower instrument panel cover (2) and disconnect the trunk release switch.
33. Remove the bolts that secure the instrument panel steering column cover reinforcement (1) to the bracket and remove the reinforcement (1) from the vehicle.
34. Using a trim stick or equivalent, gently pry along the edge of the trim (1) to remove the instrument cluster trim.
35. Remove adhesive backing on one side and apply the two sided tape (1) to the bottom of the remote start antenna (2).
36. Press the tape (1) firmly for 30 seconds.
37. Using a fish tape or equivalent, route the antenna harness (3) down through the opening near the air conditioner ducts.
38. Finish routing the remote start antenna harness to the dash area near the ignition WIN module.
39. Remove the remaining adhesive backing from the two sided tape and place the remote start antenna to the top of the air conditioner/heating duct. Press firmly for 30 seconds.
40. Remove the 4 screws from the WIN (1).
41. Remove the WIN (1) from the rear of the instrument panel bringing it through the opening below the steering column and disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the WIN. Discard the factory WIN module (1).
42. Connect the electrical connector and remote start antenna harness connector to the WIN supplied in the kit.
43. Install the WIN into the instrument panel.
44. Install the four screws (1) securing the WIN to the instrument panel.
45. Reinstall the center trim/radio bezel.
46. Reinstall the instrument cluster trim.
47. Install the screws that secure the instrument panel steering column cover reinforcement (1) to the bracket. Tighten the screws securely.
48. Connect the trunk release switch and install the lower instrument panel cover (2).
49. Install and tighten the screw securing the lower instrument panel cover near the hood latch switch.
50. Install and tighten the screw securing the lower instrument panel cover to the left side door opening.
51. Install the trim panel located on the left side door opening.

PROGRAMMING THE WIN

Note. Have the vehicle PIN readily available before running the routine

1. Connect a battery charger to the vehicle.
2. With the wiTECH diagnostic application, perform the following steps: Select "WIRELESS CONTROL MODULE (WCM)" Select the "MISCELLANEOUS FUNCTIONS" tab Highlight "WIN REPLACED" Select the "Start Misc Function" button Select "NEXT" Enter the PIN when prompted. Select "NEXT" Verify that the PIN number is correct Once verified select "NEXT" Select "NEXT" Note On-Screen instructions and select the "FINISH" button Cycle ignition key after the successful routine completion.

PROGRAMMING IGNITION KEYS TO THE WIN

Note. Have the vehicle PIN readily available before running the routine

1. Connect a battery charger to the vehicle.
2. With the wiTECH diagnostic application, perform the following steps: Select "WIRELESS CONTROL MODULE (WCM)" Select the "MISCELLANEOUS FUNCTIONS" tab Highlight "PROGAMMING IGNITION KEYS OR KEY FOBS" Select "NEXT" Enter the PIN when prompted. Select "NEXT" Verify that the PIN number is correct Once verified select "NEXT" Note On-Screen instructions and select the "FINISH" button Cycle ignition key after the successful routine completion. NOTE: If the original keys do not successfully program to the new WIN after the proper procedures are followed correctly, programming new keys will be necessary. NOTE: A maximum of eight keys can be learned by the WIN. Once a key is learned by a WIN, that key has acquired the Secret Key for that WIN and cannot be transferred to any other vehicle.

UPDATE PRESSURE THRESHOLDS

Note. The wiTECH software level must be at the latest release to perform this procedure.

Note. The vehicle must be driven before the TPMS light will turn off.

Note. Have the vehicle PIN readily available before running the routine

1. Connect a battery charger to the vehicle.
2. With the wiTECH diagnostic application, perform the following steps: Select the "TIPMCGW" Select the "MISCELLANEOUS FUNCTIONS" tab Highlight and select "UPDATE PRESSURE THRESHOLDS" Note On-Screen instructions and select the "NEXT" button Verify current settings, select the "NEXT" button to change settings Select "NEXT" Enter the PIN when prompted. Select "NEXT" Verify that the PIN number is correct Once verified, select "NEXT" Select "NEXT" Wait for the WCM/WIN to update it's configuration Once the WCM/WIN configuration is complete, select "NEXT" Note On-Screen instructions and select the "FINISH" button

TEMPORARY REMOTE START DISABLE

Note. The wiTECH software level must be at the latest release to perform this procedure.

1. Connect a battery charger to the vehicle.
2. With the wiTECH diagnostic application, perform the following steps: Select the "TIPMCGW" Select the "MISCELLANEOUS FUNCTIONS" tab Highlight and select "TEMPORARY REMOTE START DISABLE" Note On-Screen instructions and select the "NEXT" button Select the "DISABLE" button to activate the remote start function Select "YES" to reset the module and exit the routine, select "NO" to toggle the value back Select "FINISH"

ACTIVATE THE REMOTE START

To activate the remote start the vehicle must have been driven at least 35 MPH.

With the vehicle off, and the doors closed and locked, verify the remote start is functioning properly.
