REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
| CAUTION | When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in the GENERAL INFORMATION section before disconnecting battery. |
- Using trim stick, disengage clips holding rear edge of top cover to instrument panel. (Scheme 8) Disconnect harness connector from message center. Pull top cover rearward to disengage hooks holding front of top cover to instrument panel. Remove cover.
- Remove screws securing RKE module. Disconnect harness connector and remove module. (Scheme 9) To install, reverse removal procedure.
