Keyless Entry System - Remote: Other Dodge Caravan III

TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING

Note. Following procedure requires a functional transmitter. If a functional transmitter is not available, program RKE module using scan tester. See BODY CONTROL COMPUTER article in the ACCESSORIES & ELECTRICAL section.

Programming Procedure

  1. Using a functional transmitter, unlock vehicle and disarm anti-theft system. Turn ignition on. Depress and hold transmitter UNLOCK button for 4-10 seconds. While holding UNLOCK button, press and release PANIC button (before 10 seconds has passed).
  2. A single chime will sound to verify that RKE module is set to receive new transmitter code. Within 30 seconds of chime, actuate any button on each new transmitter. After 30 seconds or when ignition switch is turned off (LOCK position), RKE module will end programming mode.
  3. Once programming mode is completed, a single chime will sound. Turn ignition off. Verify new transmitter(s) operation.
