The engine serial number (1) is located between the oil pan and the bellhousing. The serial number contains engine build date, build location, and displacement.

Scheme 224: REMOVAL

CAUTION

Do not use an assist tool or excessive force when unlocking the air box lid tabs (1). Excessive force may break the tabs off of the lid.

Scheme 225

Unlock the air box lid tabs and lift the air cleaner housing cover (1).
Pull the cover forward to disengage the rear tabs.
Remove the air filter element (2).

Scheme 226: INSTALLATION

Install the air filter element (2) into the air cleaner housing.
Install the cover (1) so that the rear tabs insert into the lower air box.
Push down on the cover to engage the front locking tabs.

Scheme 227: REMOVAL

Remove air cleaner housing retaining bolt (2).
Remove clean air hose from air cleaner housing.
Lift air cleaner housing (1) upwards and remove.

Position air cleaner housing (1) in place.
Install retaining bolt (2).
Install clean air hose.
