If the fastener is not salvageable, a fastener of equivalent specification must be used.
THREADED HOLE REPAIR
Most stripped, threaded holes can be repaired using a Heli-coil® type thread repair kit. Follow the repair kit instructions/recommendations for application and repair procedures.
