Removing

Perform the following operations

• Switch off the ignition
• Wait 3 minutes before disconnecting the battery
• Disconnect the battery

Remove the front seat

Covered backrest cushion

Remove the head restraint

Unclip the head restraint guide (1) (as "a"); using a small, flat, thin screwdriver

Remove the head restraint guide (1)

Proceed in the same way for the other head restraint guide

Tilt the armrest (2) to the mechanical stop position (according to equipment)

Tilt the armrest (2) by pressing on the shaft of the armrest (at "b") in the mechanical stop position

Detach the armrest (2) (as "c")

Remove the armrest (2)

Unclip the cover (3) (as "d"); using tool [1]

Remove the cover (3)

Detach the lumbar adjustment control (4) by moving aside the locking clips (as "e"); using a small flat screwdriver

Remove the lumbar adjustment control (4)

Detach the pieces of elastic from the base of the seat rear casing

Unclip the backrest cushion fastener from the seat frame (as "f")

Remove the nuts (5)

Disconnect the connectors (as "g")

Unclip the backrest cushion fastener from the seat frame at the base (as "h")

Detach the backrest cushion (6) (as "j")

Remove

• The covered backrest cushion assembly (6) (with side airbag)
• The seat rear casing (7)

Side airbag

Remove the side airbag

Covered seat cushion

Remove

• The (9) bolt
• The seat trim (8) (towards the outside)

Unclip the seat height control (10) (as "k"); using a small, flat, thin screwdriver (according to equipment)

Detach the backrest angle adjustment control (11) by moving aside the locking clips (as "l"); using a small, flat, thin screwdriver

Remove the backrest angle adjustment control (11)

Unclip the cover (12) (as "m"); using tool [1]

Remove the cover (12)

Remove (according to equipment)

• The bolts (13)
• The seat height adjustment control (14)

Remove

• The (15) bolt
• The front seat seat belt buckle strap (16)

Unclip the seat trim (17) (as "p")

Detach the seat trim (17) (as "n")

Remove the seat trim (17)

Unclip

• The seat cushion fastener from the seat frame (as "q")
• The clips (18)

Detach the covered seat cushion (19) (following "r")

Remove the covered seat cushion (19)

Backrest lumbar adjustment

Remove the support (20)

Detach the lumbar adjustment cable (as "s")

Uncouple the cable (21) end piece (as "t")

Remove the lumbar adjustment cable (21)

Detach the spring (as "u")

Remove the lumbar plate (22)

Drill out the rivet heads (as "v"); using a 4 mm dia. drill

Remove the lumbar adjustment control mechanism (23)

Front seat slides

Remove the front seat slides

Refitting

Proceed in the reverse order to removal

Tighten

• The nuts (5) to 0,5 ± 0,1 daN.m
• The bolts (9) (13) to 0,2 ± 0,1 daN.m
• Screw (15) to 3 ± 0,3 daNm

Check all the equipment works
