Description
"A" oil outlet
"B" oil inlet
(1) variable flow oil pump
(2) drive pulley
"a" oil suction strainer
Role
The oil pump provides a constant oil pressure inside the engine
Function
"b" spring
"c" seal
"d" pressure chamber (modification of the capacity)
"e" cam
"f" Fins
The oil pressure exerted at "d" overcomes the force of the spring, the cam moves
The pivoting of the cam changes the capacity, the volume taken in by the fins "f" also changes
The varying of the volume and the regulating of the oil circuit keeps the pressure around 3 bars (+0,3; -0,2)
Data
| designation | nominal value |
|---|---|
| minimum pressure for a flow of 11,6 l/min at 844 rpm (engine revolutions) | 1 bar |
| maximum pressure for a flow of 0 l/min at 1000 rpm (engine revolutions) | 10 bars |
