Circuit Description
PCM operates a normally open solenoid to control EGR valve. PCM energizes solenoid by providing a ground path which then allows vacuum to pass to EGR. During normal operation, PCM compares desired EGR signal with EGR pressure signal and corrects duty cycle accordingly. PCM will make minor adjustments to correct any difference in PCM command and what is sensed at EGR valve by EGR control pressure/BARO sensor.
DTC will set when the following conditions are present
- DTC P0405, P0406, P0102 or P0103 is not set.
- All EGR tests have been completed (internal to PCM).
- Measured EGR pressure unchanged.
