Circuit/System Verification

  1. Verify DTC B1529 07 is not set. If the DTC is set, clear the DTC and operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. If the DTC resets, refer to «Charging System Test»(ref-278006-S24288381392008012100000) .
  2. Ignition ON, observe the scan tool SWC Bank 1 status while pressing and releasing the switches. The reading should be SW1-SW7 identifying the switch pressed, and Idle when released.

Intermittent

2Steering Wheel Control Switch Assembly Screw (Qty: 4) Tip: Quantity may vary with vehicle options. DO NOT over tighten the steering wheel control switch screws or damage to the switch(s) or steering wheel covers may occur.
3Steering Wheel Control Switch Assembly (Qty: 2) Tip: Quantity may vary with vehicle options. Make sure the steering wheel control switch(s) are properly seated to the steering wheel shroud during installation.
