The BCM senses the supply voltage circuit above 24.5 volts after 5 seconds.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

The BCM will ignore the switch command.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

1. A current DTC clears when the malfunction is no longer present.
2. A history DTC clears when the module ignition cycle counter reaches the reset threshold, without a repeat of the malfunction.

Diagnostic Aids

1. Before diagnosis of the steering wheel controls, ensure the primary controls of the associated component are functioning properly.
2. If a single switch function is inoperative, test the suspect switch. Refer to component testing.
3. DTC B1529 07 may be set if the vehicle is equipped with dual batteries that is incorrectly hooked up, or the vehicle is jump started by a tow truck with dual batteries.
