There is no setup procedure that needs to be performed for the amplifier on this vehicle.

Amplifier Replacement w/UQ7 and Y91

If the amplifier is replaced, the new amplifier must have the setup procedure performed. Refer to Audio Amplifier Setup .

Body Control Module (BCM) Replacement

If the body control module (BCM) is replaced, the following procedures must be performed in the following order

  1. BCM Reprogramming-Refer to «Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration»(ref-238179-S23929970412006072400000) .
  2. Theft Learn-Refer to «Programming Theft Deterrent System Components»(ref-238205-S06865753932006072400000) . A new BCM will learn the Passlock(tm) information automatically but the powertrain control module (PCM) must still learn the theft information from the BCM.

Passlock(tm) Sensor Replacement

If the Passlock(tm) Sensor is replaced perform the theft learn procedure. Refer to Programming Theft Deterrent System Components .

Communication Interface Module Replacement

If the OnStar(R) communication interface module is replaced, the setup procedure needs to be performed. Please refer to OnStar Reconfiguration .

DRR Replacement

If the DRR is replaced, the new DRR must have the setup procedure performed. Refer to Digital Radio Receiver Setup .

ECM Replacement

If the engine control module (ECM) is replaced, the following procedures must be performed

  1. The ECM Reprogramming-Refer to «Service Programming System (SPS)»(ref-238189-S17700324852006072400000) .
  2. The Turbocharger Learn Procedure-Refer to «Turbocharger Learn Procedure»(ref-238192-S27462058792006072400000) .
  3. Theft Deterrent-Refer to «Programming Theft Deterrent System Components»(ref-238205-S06865753932006072400000) .
  4. The Fuel Injector Flow Rate Programming-Refer to «Fuel Injector Flow Rate Programming»(ref-238192-S33067311152006072400000) .
  5. Engine Oil Life Remaining-When available, use a scan tool to reset the Engine Oil Life Remaining back to the original percentage recorded before the module was reprogrammed.
  6. Transmission Fluid Life Remaining-When available, use a scan tool to reset the Transmission Fluid Life Remaining back to the original percentage recorded before the module was reprogrammed.
  7. Fuel Filter Life Remaining-When available, use a scan tool to reset the Fuel Filter Life Remaining back to the original percentage recorded before the module was reprogrammed.

Setup for Component Replacement

The replacement of some components will require a setup procedure for complete repair.

If any of the following components are replaced, a Turbocharger Learn Procedure must be performed.

  1. Turbocharger
  2. Turbocharger Vane Position Sensor.
  3. Turbocharger Vane Position Control Solenoid Valve

GPCM Replacement

If the glow plug controller (GPCM) is replaced, the Fuel Injector Flow Rate Programming must be performed. Refer to Fuel Injector Flow Rate Programming .

The replacement of some components will require a setup procedure for complete repair.

If any of the following components are replaced, the Fuel Injector Flow Rate Programming must be performed.

  1. Fuel Injector
  2. Engine control module (ECM)

HVAC Control Module Replacement

If the HVAC control module is replaced, an automatic re-calibration of all the actuators will occur. No additional procedures are necessary.

Actuator Replacement

If an actuator is replaced, the following procedure must be performed

  1. Re-Calibrating Actuators-Refer to «Re-Calibrating Actuators»(ref-238240-S05049699792006072400000) .
  2. Re-Calibrating Actuators-Refer to «Re-Calibrating Actuators»(ref-238240-S05049699792006072400000) .

Power Steering Pump Replacement (HP2)

If the electro-hydraulic power steering pump is replaced, the following procedure must be performed

W/ HP2-Calibrate the brake pedal position sensor. Refer to Brake Pedal Position Sensor Calibration Description and Operation .

PCM Replacement

If the PCM is replaced, the following procedures must be performed

  1. The PCM Reprogramming-Refer to «Service Programming System (SPS)»(ref-238189-S17700324852006072400000) .
  2. The CKP Variation Learn-Refer to the appropriate procedure: «CKP System Variation Learn Procedure»(ref-238194-S01351384412006072400000) (4.3L (LU3)). «CKP System Variation Learn Procedure»(ref-238175-S20808012872006072400000) (4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L (LR4, LM7, LQ4, LQ9, or L59)). «CKP System Variation Learn Procedure»(ref-238195-S26801670682006072400000) (8.1L (L18)).
