SYSTEM CHECK
- Turn ignition switch to ON position. Depress left front window switch in power window master switch to DOWN position and then pull to UP position. Left front window should open and then close.
- Depress right front window switch in power window master switch to DOWN position and then pull to UP position. Right front window should open and then close.
- Depress left rear power window switch in power window master switch to DOWN position and then pull to UP position. Left rear window should open and then close.
- Depress right rear power window switch in power window master switch to DOWN position and then pull to UP position. Right rear window should open and then close.
- Depress right front power window switch in right front door to DOWN position and then pull to UP position. Right front window should open and then close.
- Depress left rear power window switch in left rear door to DOWN position and then pull to UP position. Left rear window should open and then close.
- Depress right rear power window switch in right rear door to DOWN position and then pull to UP position. Right rear window should open and then close.
- Depress lock-out switch on power window master switch to LOCK position. Open and close all windows using power window master switch and then each individual window switch located in each door. Left front window should open and then close. All other windows should not operate.
- Firmly depress left front window switch in power window master switch to DOWN position and release. Left front window should open automatically to fully open position. If problem exists with power window system, go to «PRELIMINARY INSPECTION»(ref-3332-S35318168442000042500000) .
POWER WINDOW MOTOR
Using a 12-volt battery, connect positive battery lead to either power window motor terminal. Connect negative battery lead to other power window motor connector terminal. Motor should operate. Reverse battery leads. Motor should operate in opposite direction. If motor does not test as described, replace motor. See WINDOW MOTOR/REGULATOR ASSEMBLY under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
POWER WINDOW SWITCH
Disconnect appropriate power window switch connector. Check continuity between specified power window switch terminals with power window switch in specified position. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH CONTINUITY table. (Схема №3) If continuity does not exist between specified terminals, replace appropriate power window switch. See WINDOW SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
