Remote Keyless Entry Systems: Removal & Installation Chevrolet Prizm I

Removal & Installation

  1. Remove negative battery cable. Remove left hinge pillar trim panel. Remove knee bolster trim and knee bolster reinforcement. Remove plastic retainer for instrument panel air outlet duct, and remove instrument panel air outlet duct.
  2. Remove 2 screws securing junction block No. 2 and position aside to gain necessary clearance to remove left instrument panel outer air outlet. Remove screw retaining outer air outlet and remove outer air outlet.
  3. Disconnect Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) electrical connector. Remove RCDLR retaining nut and remove RCDLR with mounting bracket attached. Depress retaining tab and remove mounting bracket. To install, reverse removal procedure.
