Diagnosis - 4L60-E: Wiring Chevrolet Pickup C2500

Internal Harness Check Chart

  1. Install Test Harness (J-39775) to transmission connector. Compare resistance of each solenoid to known values. See TRANSMISSION SOLENOID RESISTANCE chart.
  2. If solenoid resistance is okay, go to step 3). If solenoid resistance is not okay, check harness from connector to solenoid. Repair harness if necessary. Check resistance of solenoid. If resistance is not okay, replace solenoid.
  3. Measure resistance between each terminal at transmission connector and ground. (Схема №2) If resistance is high, problem is intermittent. If resistance is low, remove harness from connector to solenoid.
  4. Measure resistance between component and ground. If resistance is low, replace component. If resistance is high, check internal harness wiring for short to ground.
