REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

| CAUTION | When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery. |
| CAUTION | Momentary actuation of power window switch can cause window to move directly to fully open position. When working inside door, leave ignition off whenever possible. |
- Push lower front corner of upper trim finish panel rearward to disengage tab. Push lower rear corner forward to disengage tab. Pull trim finish panel forward to disengage top clip, and remove finish panel. Using small, flat-blade screwdriver, remove power switch bezels. Disconnect electrical connectors.
- Remove inside handle bezel screw. Remove pull handle plug. Remove door trim panel screws. Starting at bottom rear corner, gently pry inward to separate door trim panel from retainers. Remove door trim panel.
- Disconnect power mirror electrical connector. Remove inner panel mirror insulator. Remove nuts and power mirror assembly. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten power mirror nuts to 89 INCH lbs. (10 N.m).
- Cover door to avoid damage to painted surface. Tape mirror, then break mirror glass. Remove broken glass from mirror frame. Wipe inside of mirror frame clean.
- To install, remove paper backing from replacement mirror glass. Center mirror glass in mirror frame, and firmly press into place.
Disconnect negative battery cable. Using a rag to protect trim panel, insert flat-blade tool between switch plate and trim panel, and disengage spring clip. If switch plate is attached to trim panel with screws, remove screws. Disconnect power mirror control switch electrical connector(s). To install, reverse removal procedure.
