- Apply prelube GM P/N United States 12345501, GM P/N Canada 992704 or the equivalent to the oil pump drive gear.
- Apply engine oil to the oil pump drive gear assembly for ease of assembly.
- Install the oil pump drive gear assembly.
- Install the oil pump drive gear clamp.
- Install the oil pump drive gear clamp bolt. Tighten: Tighten the oil pump drive gear clamp bolt to 36 N.m (27 lb ft).
