Removal Procedure Cadillac ELR I

Mechanical
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to «Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle»(ref-636499-S42267312302014070700000) .
  2. Remove the right front wheel house liner. Refer to «Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement»(ref-636540-S22974220972014070700000) .
  3. Lower the vehicle.
  4. Remove the hydraulic valve lash adjuster arms. Refer to «Hydraulic Valve Lash Adjuster Arm Replacement»(ref-636500-S10590261802014070700000) .
  5. Remove the spark plugs. Refer to «Spark Plug Replacement»(ref-636536-S09013440202014070700000) .
  6. Adjust the engine to TDC of cylinder 1 and fix the crankshaft. Refer to «Camshaft Timing Chain Adjustment»(ref-636500-S23672506182014070700000) .
  7. Shift to 5. gear (MT) or park position (AT) and apply the park brake.
