Piston Rings Buick Roadmaster VIII

Mechanical 1 illustration

Install marked side of ring toward top of piston. Top compression ring is chrome or molybdenum faced. Second compression ring has a tapered face. Oil ring is a 3-piece type. Ensure end gaps are evenly spaced on piston. (Scheme 6)

Note. Rod and main bearings are available in .001" (.03 mm) and .002" (.05) undersize for oil clearance adjustment.
