- If bearing clearance is greater than specification, replace with undersized bearings. See CRANKSHAFT, MAIN & CONNECTING ROD BEARINGS table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS. Recheck bearing clearance using Plastigage.
- Tighten main bearing caps finger tight. Pry crankshaft rearward and then forward to align rear main bearing thrust surfaces. Retighten main bearing caps to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-49883-S03067805252001011600000) .
