Removal Procedure

Open the instrument panel compartment door.
Insert the key into the instrument panel compartment door lock cylinder (1).
Lift up on the instrument panel compartment door latch.
Rotate the key clockwise to the locked position.
Use a suitable tool and depress the retaining tumbler through the access hole indicated.
With the retaining tumbler depressed, rotate the lock cylinder (1) clockwise an additional 90° and pull the instrument panel compartment door lock cylinder out of the instrument panel compartment door latch assembly.

Installation Procedure

Insert the key into the instrument panel compartment door lock cylinder (1).
Position the instrument panel compartment door lock cylinder (1) to the compartment door latch with the cylinder in the upside down position.
Insert the instrument panel door lock cylinder (1) upside down fully into the latch assembly.
Rotate the lock cylinder (1) 180° counter clockwise.
An audible click should be heard when the door lock cylinder (1) is being rotated.
Ensure proper operation of the instrument panel compartment door lock.
