22 11 001 REPLACING RIGHT ENGINE MOUNT (S85)
Necessary preliminary tasks
- Secure engine in installation position. See «11 00 670 SECURING ENGINE IN INSTALLATION POSITION (S85)»(/bmw/m6/e63e64-2005-2010/remont/mechanical/#engine-repair__11-00-670-securing-engine-in) .
- Remove both front wheels.
- Lower front axle carrier.
Observe safety instructions on raising the vehicle. Read and follow operating instructions for lifting platform. Before driving onto a lifting platform, make sure there is sufficient ground clearance between the lifting platform and the car. The vehicle may only be raised with the lifting platform at the four jacking points. See 00...... LIFTING VEHICLE WITH A LIFTING PLATFORM (5-SERIES) or 00..... LIFTING VEHICLE WITH A LIFTING PLATFORM (6-SERIES) .
Release screws (1).
Remove engine mount.
Tighten to specified torque, see 22 11 1AZ in 22 11 ENGINE MOUNTING .
Installation
Replace screws.

Remove engine support arm (1).
Tighten to specified torque, see 22 11 3AZ in 22 11 ENGINE MOUNTING .

22 31 001 REPLACING RUBBER MOUNT FOR TRANSMISSION MOUNTING
Necessary preliminary tasks
- Remove underbody protection
- Remove complete exhaust system. See «EXHAUST SYSTEM - REPAIR (5-SERIES)»(ref-297461) or «EXHAUST SYSTEM - REPAIR (6-SERIES)»(ref-522731) .
- If necessary, remove exhaust system bracket
- Support transmission with hydraulic lifter.
If necessary, remove heat shield (1) on left and right.

Release screws (1) and nuts (2) and remove transmission crossmember.
Remove transmission mount from transmission crossmember.
Tighten to specified torque. Transmission cross-member to body M10 thread 42 Nm; M8 thread 19 Nm. Transmission mount to transmission support bracket/transmission cross-member 19 Nm.
