Note. If the adaptation process is interrupted by the control module and the tester display indicates "Function is unknown or cannot be carried out at the moment" the cause could be one of the following.

1. All test conditions may not have been met. See «TEST CONDITIONS FOR ADAPTATION OF THE THROTTLE VALVE CONTROL MODULE»(/audi/s6/c5-1999-2004/remont/fuel-system/#multiport-fuel-injection-mfi-42l-v8-5v-bbd__test-conditions-for-adaptation-of-the) .
2. Engine was started or accelerator was actuated during the adaptation process
3. The throttle valve cannot close completely (e.g. dirt)
4. Connector (6-pin connector) at throttle valve control module not engaged
5. Wiring connections faulty
6. Distortion of throttle valve housing (check screw connection)
7. The throttle valve control module is faulty

1. End engine basic setting by pressing --> key.
2. Press keys 0 and 6 for function "End data transfer" and confirm entry with Q key.
