SPRING MAT WITH SEAT PAN WIRING HARNESS
- Upper seat pan frame
- Spring mat with wiring harness Removing and Installing, refer to «SPRING MAT WITH SEAT PAN WIRING HARNESS»(ref-491733-S39154375212012073100000) NOTE: For clarity reasons, the wiring harness on the spring mat is not shown in the illustration.
HARNESS CONNECTORS, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING
The procedure for disconnecting and connecting the harness connectors is described on the basis of the power front seat. It is similar for the comfort seat.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Engine and transmission holder VAS 6095
- Fixture for seat repair VAS 6136
Removing

Remove the front seat. Refer to DRIVER SEAT ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW .
Mount the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136 on the engine and transmission holder VAS 6095.
Attach the seat to the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136.
Remove front backrest. Refer to FRONT SEAT BACKREST ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW .
Remove cover and upholstery from seat pan.
Create photos or sketches of wire securing and routing.
Remove cable ties or loosen wiring fasteners on seat frame.
Unclip connectors -1-, -2- and -3- at connector station.

On vehicles with belt fastening detection, loosen the wire.
Note. Illustration shows seat pan on a memory seat. Removal of spring mat is similar on a manual seat.
Disengage spring mat -3- at locations -2- (quantity: 4).
Disengage at locations -1- (quantity: 2).
Remove spring mat with wiring harness -3-.
Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following
Replace seat pan metal tabs -1- and/or -2- if damaged.

Cut threads in backrest frame before installing new screws -3- (quantity: 4).
Scheme 174
Replace screws -3- (quantity: 4) after each removal.
| WARNING | Before handling airbag units (for example, when disconnecting the harness connector), the person handling them must "discharge static electricity". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin. |
Route and secure wiring according to photos or sketches that were made.
Ensure all connectors are engaged correctly.
Note. Make sure the connectors are installed all the way in and are secure. Make sure the wires do not get caught.
| WARNING | Ignition must be on when connecting battery. If pyrotechnic components (for example, airbag, belt tensioner) are not repaired correctly, they may deploy unintentionally after connecting battery. Maintain personal safety when connecting the battery by staying out of airbag deployment areas, keeping a distance from belt tensioners/seat belts and ensuring no other people are in the vehicle interior at the moment when the battery is connected. |
Switch on ignition.
Connect the battery ground cable with the ignition turned on. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
If the airbag indicator lamp -K75- indicates a fault after installation, the DTC memory must be checked, deleted and checked again. Refer to Vehicle diagnostic tester.

Removing

Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT .
Mount the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136 on the engine and transmission holder VAS 6095.
Attach the front seat to the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136.
Create photos or sketches of wire securing and routing.
Remove sill and tunnel side trim panels. Refer to SILL AND TUNNEL SIDE TRIM PANELS .
Remove front backrest. Refer to FRONT BACKREST .
Remove cover and upholstery from seat pan.
Remove cable ties or loosen wiring fasteners on seat frame.
Remove connector -arrow A- and -arrow B-.

Remove connector -arrow-.

Unclip connectors -1-, -2- and -3- at connector station.
Remove connectors -1- and -2- from Memory Seat/Steering Column Adjustment Control Module -J136- or -J521- -3-.

Disengage spring mat -3- at locations -2- (quantity: 4).
Disengage spring mat -3- at locations -1- (quantity: 2).
Remove spring mat with wiring harness -3-.
Installation
