Prerequisites

1. Telematics Service Mode must be deactivated
2. Telephone/Telematics Control Module theft protection software must be enabled

1. Select "Vehicle Self-Diagnosis"
2. Select vehicle system 75 - "Telematics"
3. Select function 05 - "Erase DTC Memory".
4. Select function 06 "End Output".

1. Switch off ignition and wait a few moments.
2. Switch on ignition.
3. Return to select vehicle system 75 - "Telematics"
4. Select function 02 - "Check DTC Memory". No DTCs must be present.

1. Check and confirm the status indicator light in Telematics Control Head has changed from red to green.
2. Select function 06 - "End Output".
3. Disconnect Vehicle Diagnostic Testing and Information System VAS 5051 from Data Link Connector (DLC).
