Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module, Removing and Installing

1. If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or "Guided Functions".

Removing

1. Remove Steering Column Switch Module (SCSM) --> «Steering Column Switch Module, Removing and Installing»(/audi/a8/d3-2-2007-2010/remont/cruise-control-systems/#electrical-equipment__steering-column-switch-module-removing-and) .

Note. Steering must be in center position (wheels in straight ahead position) when removing and installing coil connector with slip ring.

1. Carefully release catches - arrows -.
2. Pull return spring with slip ring - 2 - with Steering Angle Sensor G85 - item 1 - off from steering column switch module (SCSM).

Scheme 248

1. Remove screws - arrows -.
2. Remove Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module J527 - item 1 - from steering column switch module.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following

1. Make sure all fasteners and electrical connectors are properly engaged.
2. Install Steering Column Switch Module (SCSM) --> «Steering Column Switch Module, Removing and Installing»(/audi/a8/d3-2-2007-2010/remont/cruise-control-systems/#electrical-equipment__steering-column-switch-module-removing-and) .

If Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module J527 was replaced, it must be coded.
