CAUTION:

If coolant is hot, carefully remove expansion tank cap.

Engine must be at operating temperature.

Connect cooling system tester VW 1274 to expansion tank using adapter VW 1274/1.
Operate the hand pump to create a pressure of approx. 1 bar (15 psi).

If the pressure drops quickly:

Locate and repair leak in the cooling system.
