- Detach the clips securing the intake air duct cover (A), and move the cover rearward.
- Remove the bolts, and pull up the left radiator upper bracket (B), then remove the bracket.
- Disconnect the hood opener cable (A) from the hood latch (B) (see «HOOD LATCH REPLACEMENT»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/communication-devices/#openers-4-cyl__hood-latch-replacement) ).
- Detach the clips with a clip remover.
- Disconnect the hood opener cable (A) from the hood release handle (B) (see «HOOD RELEASE HANDLE REPLACEMENT»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/communication-devices/#openers-4-cyl__hood-release-handle-replacement) ).
- Remove the grommet (C), then remove the cable.
- Install the cable in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones. When installing the cable under the dashboard, route the cable over the ground harness (D).
Trunk Lid Opener Cable Replacement

- Disconnect the trunk lid opener cable from the trunk lid cylinder (see «TRUNK LID LOCK CYLINDER REPLACEMENT»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/communication-devices/#openers-4-cyl__trunk-lid-lock-cylinder-replacement) ). Pull out the cable from the trunk compartment through the hole in the body.
- Detach the clips (A, B) fastening the trunk lid opener cable (C) with a clip remover. Right side
- Remove the trunk lid opener cable (A) from the trunk lid. Disconnect the trunk lid opener cable from the trunk lid latch (B) (see «TRUNK LID LATCH REPLACEMENT»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/communication-devices/#openers-4-cyl__trunk-lid-latch-replacement) ). Detach the clips (C, D).
- Install the opener cable in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Replace any damaged clips. Align the marks (A) on the opener cable (B) with the cable clips (C) as shown.
Hood Latch Replacement

- Remove the front grille cover (see «FRONT GRILLE COVER REPLACEMENT»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#exterior-trim-4-cyl__front-grille-cover-replacement) ).
- Remove the bolts, and detach the harness clips (A), then remove the hood latch cover (B).
- Remove the hood latch mounting bolts, then remove the hood latch (A). Disconnect the hood opener cable (B) from the hood latch.
- Disconnect the hood latch switch connector (C).
- Install the latch in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Apply multipurpose grease to each location on the hood latch indicated by the arrows. Make sure the hood opener cable is connected properly and the hood latch switch connector is plugged in properly. Adjust the hood latch alignment (see «HOOD ADJUSTMENT»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/exterior-body-panels/#hood-4-cyl) ). Make sure the hood opens properly and locks securely.
Hood Release Handle Replacement

- Disconnect the fuel fill door actuator connector (A).
- Loosen the bolts. Remove the fuel fill door actuator (A) by sliding it upward, and remove the rod (B) from the grommet (C).
- Install the actuator in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Make sure the actuator connector is plugged in properly, and the rod is inserted to the grommet securely. Apply multipurpose grease to the rod (A) where it slides inside the grommet (B). Make sure the fuel fill door opens properly and locks securely.

- Disconnect the fuel fill door actuator connector (A).

- Remove the rear shelf (see «REAR SHELF»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#interior-trim-4-cyl__rear-shelf) ).
- Detach the cable fastener (A), and disconnect the trunk lid opener cable (B) from the trunk key cylinder bracket (C).
- Remove the bolts securing the bracket (A).
- Remove the bracket (A).
- Remove the bolt. Release the hook (A) by turning the trunk lid cylinder (B) 45°, then remove the cylinder from the bracket (C).
- Install the cylinder in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Replace the damaged cable fastener with a new one. Make sure the opener cable is connected properly. When installing the bracket, first tighten the inside mounting bolt, then tighten the outside mounting bolt. Make sure the trunk lid opens properly and locks securely.
Trunk Lid Latch Replacement

- Remove the trunk lid trim panel (see «TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - TRUNK LID»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#interior-trim-4-cyl__trim-removalinstallation-trunk-lid) ).
- Insert a trim tool through the latch cover (A) opening, and pry on the cover to release the hooks (B). Pull out the cover, and release the tab (C) from the trunk lid latch (D), then remove the latch cover.
- Disconnect the trunk lid latch connector (E), and remove the bolts, then remove the latch.
- Disconnect the trunk lid opener cable (A).
- Install the latch in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Make sure the connector is plugged in properly, and the opener cable is connected properly. Make sure the trunk lid opens properly and locks securely. Fix the original position of the outer end of cable (A) on the trunk lid latch securely. And check the trunk lid latch operation: Make sure the trunk lid latch unlock when turning the trunk lid cylinder with a key. If necessary, adjust the position of the cable end.
Without Power Tailgate
Note. Put on gloves to protect your hands. If the tailgate latch cannot be unlocked by using the keyless entry transmitter or the inside/outside tailgate switches, or by unlocking the driver's door lock, remove the maintenance lid (A) from the tailgate lower trim panel, then turn the emergency lever (B) clockwise as shown.

- Remove the tailgate lower trim panel (see «REAR FLOOR LID HANDLE»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#interior-trim-4-cyl) ).
- Disconnect the actuator connector (A), and remove the bolts.
- Pull out the tailgate latch (A), disconnect the latch switch connector (B), then remove the latch.
- Install the latch in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Make sure each connector is plugged in properly. Make sure the tailgate opens properly and locks securely.
With Power Tailgate
Note. Put on gloves to protect your hands. If the tailgate latch cannot be unlocked by using the keyless entry transmitter or the inside/outside tailgate switches, remove the maintenance lid (A) from the tailgate lower trim panel, then turn the emergency lever (B) clockwise as shown.

- Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure (see «BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION AND RECONNECTION»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/body-electrical/#battery-4-cyl) ), then wait at least 3 minutes before beginning work. NOTE: If you remove the tailgate latch while the negative battery cable is still connected, the vehicle goes into the failsafe mode.
- Remove the tailgate lower trim panel (see «REAR FLOOR LID HANDLE»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/exteriorinterior-trim/#interior-trim-4-cyl) ).
- Detach the tailgate latch connector (A), and disconnect the tailgate latch connector and the actuator connector (B).
- Remove the bolts (C, D).
- Pull out the tailgate latch (A), then remove it.
- Install the latch in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Make sure each connector is plugged in properly. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure (see «BATTERY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(/acura/tsx/ii-2008-2014/remont/body-electrical/#battery-4-cyl__battery-removal-and-installation) ). Make sure the tailgate opens properly and locks securely.
