Note. If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A (see TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A ).
Scheme 83
- Clear the DTC with the HDS.
- Turn the ignition switch OFF, and then back ON (II).
- Operate the power seat with the power seat adjustment switch.
- Check for DTCs with the HDS. Is DTC 1834 indicated? YES -Go to step 5. NO -Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.
- Measure the voltage between the power seat control unit connector A (20P) No. 8 terminal and body ground. Is there 1 V or less? YES -Check for poor connection between the power seat control unit connector A (20P) and G501. If the wire and ground are OK, replace the power seat control unit (see «POWER SEAT CONTROL UNIT INPUT TEST»(ref-291583-S31063217282008072900000) ). NO -Check for the poor ground (G501) or repair an open in the wire.
