MICU Input Test
Note. Before testing, troubleshoot the multiplex integrated control unit (MICU) first, using B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A (see TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A ).

- Check the No. 10 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box. If the fuse is blown, replace it and go to step 2.
- Disconnect under-dash fuse/relay box connectors E, F, K, R, and T. NOTE: All connector views are shown from wire side of female terminals.
- Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact. If the terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary and recheck the system. If the terminals look OK, go to step 4.
- With the connectors still disconnected, do the following input tests: If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system. If all the input tests prove OK, go to step 5. Cavity Wire Test condition Test: Desired result Possible cause if desired result is not obtained K4 PNK Interior light switch in middle (DOOR) position Attach to ground: The ceiling light and front individual map lights should come on. Blown No. 22 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-hood fuse/relay box Blown bulb(s) Faulty ceiling light Faulty front individual map light Faulty interior light switch Faulty junction box An open or high resistance in the wire
- Reconnect the connectors to the under-dash fuse/relay box, turn the ignition switch to ON (II), and do the following input tests: If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system. If all the input tests prove OK, the MICU must be faulty; replace the under-dash fuse/relay box (see «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(/acura/rdx/i-2009-2012/remont/fuses-circuit-breakers/#under-dash-fuserelay-box__removal-and-installation) ). - Remove the steering column upper and lower covers (see «COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/acura/rdx/i-2009-2012/remont/gauges-instrument-panels/#dashboard__column-cover-removalinstallation) ).
- Disconnect the 6P connector (A).
- Check for continuity between terminals No. 1 and No. 2. with the ignition key in each condition according to the table.
- If the continuity is not as specified, the ignition key switch is faulty; replace the steering lock (see «CHECK OF LOCK LEVER FORCE»(/acura/rdx/i-2009-2012/remont/manual-power-steering/#steering) ).

- Remove the steering column upper and lower covers (see «COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/acura/rdx/i-2009-2012/remont/gauges-instrument-panels/#dashboard__column-cover-removalinstallation) ).
- Disconnect the 6P connector (A).
- The LED should come on when power is connected to terminal No. 6 and ground is connected to terminal No. 5.
- If the LED does not come on, the ignition key light is faulty, replace the steering lock (see «CHECK OF LOCK LEVER FORCE»(/acura/rdx/i-2009-2012/remont/manual-power-steering/#steering) ).
