  1. Remove the power seat adjustment switch knobs (A) and the recline cover from the driver's power seat '07-'08 models, '09 model (see «FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER/PAD REPLACEMENT»(/acura/rdx/i-2006-2009/remont/seats/#seats__front-seat-cushion-coverpad-replacement) ), then remove the two screws and the power seat switch (B).
  2. Disconnect the 12P connector from the power seat adjustment switch.
  3. Reinstall the adjustment switch knobs to the switch.
  4. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to (Scheme 110).
  5. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

  3. Disconnect the 12P connector from the power seat adjustment switch.

  6. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

  1. Remove the driver's seat '07-08 models and '09 model (see «FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(/acura/rdx/i-2006-2009/remont/seats/#seats__front-seat-removalinstallation) ).
  2. Remove the power seat adjustment switch knobs and the recline cover from the seat (see «FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER/PAD REPLACEMENT»(/acura/rdx/i-2006-2009/remont/seats/#seats__front-seat-cushion-coverpad-replacement) ).
  3. Disconnect the 12P connector (A) from the power seat adjustment switch (B).
  4. Test each motor by applying battery voltage and body ground to the 12P connector terminals. Slide motor Recline motor Front up-down motor Rear up-down motor
  5. If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, check for an open in the driver's seat wire harness and driver's seat subharness. If the harness is OK, replace the motor (see «FRONT SEAT FRAME REPLACEMENT»(/acura/rdx/i-2006-2009/remont/seats/#seats__front-seat-frame-replacement) ). Slide Motor 07'-08 models (see «'07- 08 MODELS DRIVER'S SEAT»(/acura/rdx/i-2006-2009/remont/seats/#seats__07-08-models-drivers-seat) ). '09 model (see «'09 MODEL DRIVER'S SEAT»(/acura/rdx/i-2006-2009/remont/seats/#seats__09-model-drivers-seat) ). Recline Motor '07-08 models (see «'07- 08 MODELS DRIVER'S SEAT»(/acura/rdx/i-2006-2009/remont/seats/#seats__07-08-models-drivers-seat) ). Front and rear up-down motor '07-08 models (see «'07- 08 MODELS DRIVER'S SEAT»(/acura/rdx/i-2006-2009/remont/seats/#seats__07-08-models-drivers-seat) ). NOTE: If '09 model's front and rear up-down, and recline motor and faulty, replace the seat frame assembly (see «'09 MODEL DRIVER'S SEAT»(/acura/rdx/i-2006-2009/remont/seats/#seats__09-model-drivers-seat) ).

  1. Remove the front passenger's power seat (see «FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-293911-S05429671762008081100000)
  2. Disconnect the 2P or 5P connector from each power seat motor. NOTE: All connector views are terminal side of male terminals.
  3. Test the motor by appling power and power and ground to the terminals according to the table. When the motor stops running, disconnect battery power immediately Slide motor Recline motor
  4. If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, replace the motor: Slide motor (see «'09 MODEL PASSENGER'S SEAT»(/acura/rdx/i-2006-2009/remont/seats/#seats__09-model-passengers-seat) ). Recline motor (see «'09 MODEL PASSENGER'S SEAT»(/acura/rdx/i-2006-2009/remont/seats/#seats__09-model-passengers-seat) ). NOTE: If recline motor faulty, replace the seat frame assembly.
