Note. Radio and navigation system (if equipped) contain an anti-theft protection circuit. Obtain anti-theft code numbers before disconnecting battery. Note radio preset frequencies.
Note. To inspect belt to determine if replacement is needed, disconnect negative battery cable. Remove ignition coil cover (if necessary) and front upper timing belt cover. Inspect timing belt for cracks or signs of oil or coolant leakage onto belt. Replace belt if necessary.
