READING OFF THE PARAMETERS Volvo XC90 I

READING OFF THE PARAMETERS

Using this function, the status or value of parameters can be read off. The presentation of the status or value can be obtained graphically or digitally. For further information about the different parameters, see DESCRIPTION OF PARAMETERS .

New software can be downloaded into the antenna module (ATM) When ordering software, the hardware and the software in the car is compared to the information in the Volvo central database. If the comparison is OK the software is downloaded to the control module.

If the comparison between the car and Volvo central database is not OK, the database is updated with the car configuration. When this is complete the software is downloaded.

The control module is located in the rear section of the roof. Detach the headlining in the passenger compartment if the control module is replaced.

After replacing the control module, the unique serial numbers of the control module are checked by the infotainment control module (ICM). The installed control module will not work if the serial number is incorrect.

Try turning the ignition off and on if there are problems after the software is downloaded and the control module is not working.

The MOST network is used for a total software reload.

Scheme 113

Scheme 113: AM/FM RECEPTION

The base unit of the antenna module (ATM) (16/110) has the task of receiving and converting AM and FM signals. The antenna signals are converted to sound signals which are transmitted digitally to the audio control module (AUD) (16/105) via the MOST network.

The antenna module (ATM) (16/110) receives information from the infotainment module (ICM) (16/1) about which frequency / radio station and which waveband the listener wishes to listen to.

The antenna module (ATM) does not transmit sound signals to the audio module (AUD) if the radio station signal is not strong enough. The antenna module (ATM) is in "MUTE" mode when searching frequencies.

The antenna module (ATM) stores the most recently used frequency for a waveband. When changing from one frequency to another the control module will use the stored frequency.
