REPLACING THE BRAKE CONTROL MODULE (BCM), CALIBRATION
The brake control module (BCM) has registered an internal fault.
| CAUTION | The brake control module (BCM) must be calibrated when it has been replaced. |

CHECKING THE FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
- Adjust the front end before checking the steering wheel angle
- Ignition on
- Set the steering wheel to the straight forward position
- Read off the steering wheel angle. With the steering wheel and the front wheels in the straight ahead position, the value for the steering wheel angle must be approximately 0°.
- Turn the steering wheel 90° to the right. Check that the value is correct
- Turn the steering wheel 90° to the left. Check that the value is correct. If the steering wheel angle does not correspond to the position of the steering wheel, reset the steering wheel angle and calibrate the dynamic stability and traction control (DSTC) system. Other information see «WHEEL ANGLES, CHECK»(ref-466746-S05014840202012042500000) For resetting the steering angle sensor, see: «STEERING WHEEL CONTROL MODULE»(ref-466602-S02570550072012042500000)
Were the steering wheel and front wheel alignment OK?

CHECKING AND ADJUSTING THE FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
| WARNING | If there are any other diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) in the brake control module (BCM), these must be fault traced first. |
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) indicates that the stability function has been active for too long. Check and adjust the front wheel alignment.
