The multimedia module (MMM) has registered an internal fault.

If the fault is intermittent, it has been registered previously but is no longer present. Intermittent faults can be caused by interference at start up of the multimedia module (MMM) or may be a different type of fault which occurs on different occasions.

The problem could be due to a damaged sector on the harddrive. Transfer map information from the DVD to the hard drive in the multimedia module (MMM).

If the fault recurs, replace the multimedia module (MMM).

CHECKING FUSES AND POWER SUPPLY

The remote digital audio receiver (RDAR) is suppled power from the central electronic module (CEM) via a fuse.

Check if the fuse for the Remote Digital Audio Receiver (RDAR) is half burned by testing with a new fuse.

HINT: A half burned fuse can cause intermittent faults.

  1. Ignition on.

Check the supply voltage to the Remote Digital Audio Receiver (RDAR) by

  1. Measure the voltage between control module connectors #C784-1 and #C784-2.
  2. Measuring the battery voltage.

If the difference between the control module's supply voltage and the battery voltage is greater than 2 V, the malfunction is in the supply cable.

If the difference is less than 2 V there may be an internal malfunction in the phone module (PHM).

  1. Remedy as necessary.
