Draining Procedure With Operational Fuel Pump

1. Connect Adapter (999 5484) to Fuel Draining Unit (981 2270, 981 2273 and 981 2282). (Scheme 1)
2. Connect adapter to valve on fuel distribution manifold in locked position. (Scheme 1)
3. Start draining fuel. Unlock adapter. (Scheme 1)
4. Lift vehicle. Remove protective cap from valve. Clamp together fuel leads immediately behind valve using hose pliers. (Scheme 2)
5. Connect Vent Hose (999 5480) to valve. (Scheme 3) Draining system takes about 2 minutes. Replace components in reverse order of removal. Don't forget to refit locknuts to valve.
