Ribbed Belt Tensioning Roller to Accessory Bracket Bolt Tightening Sequence and Specification

Note. Replace the tensioning roller bolt. Apply some adhesive lubricating paste to the guide surfaces on the tensioning roller using a paint brush.

Tighten the bolt in 5 steps

StepBoltTightening Specification
1.ArrowInstall the bolt all the way in by hand. The ribbed belt will become tensioned.
2.ArrowTurn the bolt is all the way in. The ribbed belt will be tensioned further.
3.ArrowLoosen a 90° (1/4) turn
4.ArrowTighten the bolt to 30 Nm
5.ArrowTighten the bolt an additional 90° (1/4) turn.

Accessory Bracket Bolt Tightening Sequence and Specification

Install the bolts for the accessory bracket as follows

  1. Bolts -1 and 2- M10 x 52.
  2. Bolts -5 and 6- M10 x 60.
  3. Bolts -3 and 4- M10 x 30.

Tighten the bolts in 2 steps in sequence -1 through 6

Install the bolts all the way by hand.

Tighten the bolts to 40 Nm.

Tighten the bolts -3 and 4- an additional 45° (1/8) turn.

Tighten the bolts -1, 2, 5 and 6- an additional 90° (1/4) turn.

Engine Mount Bracket Bolt Tightening Sequence and Specification

Tighten the new bolts -1 through 3- in sequence to 40 Nm + an additional 180° (1/2) turn.
