FUEL TANK AND ATTACHMENTS OVERVIEW

Note. Line connections are secured with either spring-type or clamp-type clips. Replace the locking clamps with spring clamps. Spring type clip pliers VAS 5024 A or hose clip pliers V.A.G 1921 are recommended for installing spring clamps.

2. Bolt 1.5 Nm
3. Ground Connection Make sure it is secure.
4. Bolt 10 Nm
5. Wiring Router
6. Fuel Tank Support the fuel tank using the engine-/gearbox jack V.A.G 1383 A. Removing and installing, refer to «FUEL TANK»(ref-481033-S25183949922012061900000) .
7. Bolt 25 Nm Always replace.
8. Retainer
9. Securing Strap Pay attention to the installed position.
10. Heat Shield For fuel tank.
11. Seal Replace if damaged. To install, lubricate with fuel.
12. Fuel Delivery Unit With the fuel level sensor. Note the installed position of flange on fuel tank. Removing and installing, refer to "FUEL DELIVERY UNIT". Checking the fuel pump. Refer to «TRANSFER FUEL PUMP -G6-, CHECKING»(ref-481033-S04019650462012061900000) . Fuel level sensor removing and installing. Refer to «FUEL LEVEL SENSOR G»(ref-481033-S27195192042012061900000) .
13. Lock Ring 110 Nm Use the wrenchT10202 for removal and installation.
14. Supply Line To the fuel filter. Attached to the fuel tank. Make sure it is secure. Black To disconnect from the flange, press the release button on the connecting piece.
15. Return Line From the fuel cooler. Blue or with a blue mark. Attached to the fuel tank. Make sure it is secure. To disconnect from the flange, press the release buttons on the connecting piece.
16. Fuel Filler Door Unit Removing and installing, refer to «Removal and Installation»(ref-480984-S04165608752012061900000) .
