  1. Upper Coolant Hose From the coolant thermostat housing.
  2. O-ring Replace if damaged.
  3. Radiator Removing and installing, refer to «RADIATOR»(ref-475531-S05868235222012052300000) . After replacing, replace the entire amount of coolant.
  4. Gasket
  5. Cap The pressure release valve must open at a pressure of 1.4 to 1.6 bar. Checking, refer to «PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE IN CAP, CHECKING»(ref-475531-S00705292052012052300000) .
  6. Connector
  7. Bolt 3 Nm
  8. Expansion Tank Cooling system leakage test, refer to «COOLING SYSTEM, CHECKING FOR LEAKS»(ref-475531-S01104688522012052300000) .
  9. Bracket For the radiator.
  10. Bolt 7 Nm
  11. Mount
  12. Nut 5 Nm
  13. Fan Shroud Removing and installing, refer to «FAN SHROUD AND FANS»(ref-475531-S13416366642012052300000) .

  15. Coolant Fan 2 -V177- Removing and installing, refer to «FAN SHROUD AND FANS»(ref-475531-S13416366642012052300000) .
  16. Connector
  17. Coolant Fan -V7- With the coolant fan control module -J293-. Removing and installing, refer to «FAN SHROUD AND FANS»(ref-475531-S13416366642012052300000) .
  18. Lower Coolant Hose To the coolant thermostat housing.
  19. Retaining Clip
  20. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Radiator Outlet -G83
  21. O-ring Always replace.

  15. Bracket
  16. O-ring Always replace.
  17. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Radiator Outlet -G83
  18. Retaining Clip Make sure it is secure.
  19. from the Radiator Lower Connection

  22. Oil Filter Bracket With the oil cooler.
  23. Bolt 23 Nm
  24. Coolant Line To the coolant thermostat housing.
  25. After-Run Coolant Pump -V51- Attached to the accessory bracket, 8 Nm. To remove, remove the accessory bracket. Refer to «Removal and Installation»(ref-475571-S07865064812012052300000). Location of after-run coolant pump. (Scheme 29) After-run coolant pump, checking. Refer to «AFTER-RUN COOLANT PUMP, CHECKING»(ref-475531-S01932928142012052300000).
  26. Coolant Pump Check for ease of movement. Removing and installing, refer to «COOLANT PUMP»(ref-475531-S32883608342012052300000).
  27. Coolant Pump Pulley Removing and installing «COOLANT PUMP»(ref-475531-S32883608342012052300000).
  28. Bolt/Nut 20 Nm
  29. Bolt 8 Nm

The after-run coolant pump -arrow- is secured to the accessory bracket.

Remove the accessory bracket from the cylinder block.

Accessory Bracket Bolt Tightening Sequence

First, tighten the alignment bolts -2 and 4- by hand.

Then, tighten the bolts -1, 3 and 5- by hand.

Then, tighten all the bolts uniformly and in a diagonal sequence.

Tightening specification: 23 Nm

  1. O-ring Always replace.
  2. Retaining Clip Make sure it is secure.
  3. Coolant Thermostat Housing Removing and installing, refer to «COOLANT THERMOSTAT HOUSING»(ref-475531-S19621824262012052300000) .
  4. Bolt 8 Nm
  5. Coolant Line To the transmission oil cooler.
  6. Bracket
  7. Coolant Thermostat Removing and installing, refer to «COOLANT THERMOSTAT»(ref-475531-S10014299312012052300000) . Checking: Heat up thermostat in water. Starts to open: approximately 80 °C (176 °F). End: approximately 105 °C (221 °F). Opening lift: at least 7 mm.
  8. Adapter
  9. Seal Always replace.
  10. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor -G62
  11. Plug
