PROCEDURE

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (POWER WINDOW) Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that each door window regulator operates. Refer to «DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST»(ref-389501-S12131243362011032200000) . WARNING: Be careful to avoid injuries as this test causes vehicle parts to move. During the Active Test, the jam protection function does not operate. D-DOOR MOTOR Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note Power Window Driver side power window OFF/UP/DOWN - P-DOOR MOTOR Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note Power Window Front passenger side power window OFF/UP/DOWN - OK Each power window motor operates. RESULT Result Proceed to OK A NG (Driver side power window) B NG (Front passenger side power window) C C --> See step 5 B --> See step 4 A: Go to next step
  2. PERFORM INITIALIZATION Initialize the power window regulator motor. Refer to «INITIALIZATION»(ref-389501-S30387376322011032200000) . Check that each power window operates normally by opening and closing each window. Refer to «OPERATION CHECK»(ref-389501-S26946399542011032200000) . OK Each power window operates normally. RESULT Result Proceed to OK A NG (Driver side power window) B NG (Front passenger side power window) C C --> See step 5 B --> See step 4 A: Go to next step
  3. CHECK WHETHER PARTS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED CORRECTLY Check that the power window components are installed correctly. OK Power window components are installed correctly. HINT: When the power window components are installed correctly, the problem has been caused by battery disconnection while the ignition switch is ON or the motor being overheated. NG --> INSTALL PARTS CORRECTLY OK --> END
  4. REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-389503-S17893734072011032200000)
  5. REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-389503-S17893734072011032200000)
  1. PERFORM INITIALIZATION (APPLICABLE LOCATION) Initialize the power window regulator motor. Refer to «INITIALIZATION»(ref-389501-S30387376322011032200000) . NEXT: Go to next step
  2. CHECK FOR DTC Check for DTCs. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-389501-S23874267832011032200000) . RESULT Result Proceed to DTC B2313 is not output A DTC B2313 output from driver side motor B DTC B2313 output from front passenger side motor C C --> See step 4 B --> Go to next step A --> END
  3. REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-389503-S17893734072011032200000)

  2. CHECK MANUAL UP / DOWN FUNCTION Check that the manual UP/DOWN function using the master switch can operate the driver side power window. Refer to «OPERATION CHECK»(ref-389501-S26946399542011032200000) . OK Manual UP/DOWN function operates normally. NG --> See step 4 OK: Go to next step
  3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (MASTER SWITCH) Use the Data List to check if the master switch is functioning properly. MASTER SWITCH Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note D Door P/W Auto SW Driver side power window auto UP/ DOWN switch signal / ON or OFF ON: Driver side switch operated OFF: Driver side switch not operated - OK The Techstream display changes normally when master switch is operated. NG --> See step 5 OK --> See step 6
  4. GO TO FLOWCHART (DRIVER SIDE MOTOR CIRCUIT). Refer to «Driver Side Power Window does not Operate with Power Window Master Switch»(ref-389502-S01728227412011032200000)
  5. REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-389503-S34606719122011032200000)
  6. REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-389503-S17893734072011032200000)
  7. GO TO DTC (B2312). Refer to «DTC B2312: Power Window Switch Malfunction»(ref-389502-S06418675052011032200000)
  8. GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to «HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING»(ref-389458-S18552023962011032200000)
  9. GO TO DTC (B2311). Refer to «DTC B2311: Power Window Motor Malfunction»(ref-389502-S11756512492011032200000)
  10. GO TO DTC (B2313). Refer to «DTC B2313: Glass Position Initialization Incomplete»(ref-389502-S20729315602011032200000)
  1. CHECK LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM Check for LIN communication system DTCs related to the power window control system. OK LIN communication system DTCs are not output. NG --> See step 7 OK: Go to next step
  2. CHECK FOR DTC (B2312) Check if DTC B2312 is output. Refer to «DTC CHECK / CLEAR»(ref-389501-S23874267832011032200000) . OK DTC B2312 is not output. NG --> See step 8 OK: Go to next step
  3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR LOCK SWITCH) Use the Data List to check if the door lock switch is functioning properly. MAIN BODY Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note Door Key SW-Lock Door key linked lock switch signal / ON or OFF ON: Driver side door key cylinder is turned to lock position OFF: Driver side door key cylinder is not turned - Door Key SW-Unlock Door key linked unlock switch signal / ON or OFF ON: Driver side door key cylinder is turned to unlock position OFF: Driver side door key cylinder is not turned - OK On the Techstream screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart. NG --> See step 5 OK: Go to next step
  4. CHECK POWER WINDOW MANUAL FUNCTION Check that the manual UP/DOWN function using the master switch can operate the front door power window LH and RH. Refer to «OPERATION CHECK»(ref-389501-S26946399542011032200000) . NG --> See step 6 OK --> REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK)
  5. GO TO POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM. Refer to «HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING»(ref-389473-S05295182192011032200000)
  6. PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to «PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE»(ref-389501-S36754525622011032200000)
  7. GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to «HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING»(ref-389458-S18552023962011032200000)
  8. GO TO DTC (B2312). Refer to «DTC B2312: Power Window Switch Malfunction»(ref-389502-S06418675052011032200000)
  1. PERFORM INITIALIZATION Initialize the power window regulator motor. Refer to «INITIALIZATION»(ref-389501-S30387376322011032200000) . Check if the power window AUTO UP/DOWN function operates. Refer to «OPERATION CHECK»(ref-389501-S26946399542011032200000) . OK AUTO UP/DOWN function operates. OK --> END (PROBLEM DUE TO INITIALIZATION FAILURE) NG --> Go to next step
  2. CHECK MOVEMENT OF DOOR GLASS Remove the installation bolt of the door glass and hold the glass by hand. When raising the glass by hand, check that the glass moves smoothly. NOTE: Make sure that the door glass fits into the glass run properly. Make sure that the glass run is not deformed, and does not have foreign matter. OK Door glass moves smoothly. NG --> INSTALL DOOR GLASS AND/OR GLASS RUN PROPERLY OK --> Go to next step
  3. REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (APPLICABLE LOCATION). Refer to «REMOVAL»(ref-389503-S17893734072011032200000)
