Auto Cancel Function
- The set speed will be cleared and the cruise control will be canceled under the following conditions. The cruise main indicator blinks until the main switch is turned OFF. The speed control is unavailable unless the main switch is turned ON again. * When the stop light switch is open or short-circuits. * When a signal indicating a sudden change in the vehicle speed is received.
- The set speed will be cleared and the cruise control will be canceled under the following conditions. * When there is malfunction in the stop light switch input circuit. * When the vehicle speed falls below 40 km/h. * When the vehicle speed falls to more than 16 km/h below the set speed.

This is a system to assist the driver with steering the vehicle by reducing the required steering force. Based on the steering torque signals received from the power steering torque sensor, the vehicle speed and other vehicle information from the skid control ECU, the power steering ECU calculates the assisting current required to control the power steering motor.
If the system experiences an abnormality, the power source relay and the motor relay in the power steering ECU will be shut down and the master warning lamp on combination meter will blink. The P/S warning light will be illuminated also, resulting in the assistance being stopped.
