- CHECK ENGINE OIL LEVEL Put the engine in inspection mode. Refer to «INSPECTION MODE PROCEDURE»(/toyota/prius-phv/pre-iii-2010-2011/remont/hoistjack/#introduction-except-phv) . Warm up and stop the engine, then wait for 5 minutes. The oil level should be between the low level and full level marks on the engine oil level dipstick. If the engine oil level is low, check for leakage and add oil up to the full level mark. NOTE: Do not fill with engine oil to above the full level mark.
- CHECK ENGINE OIL Check the engine oil for deterioration, water contamination, discoloring or thinning. If the condition is visibly poor, replace the engine oil and oil filter element.
- INSPECT ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY Remove the oil pressure switch. Refer to «REMOVAL»(/toyota/prius-phv/pre-iii-2010-2011/remont/lubrication-system/#engine-lubrication-system-service-information-except-phv) . Install the oil pressure gauge with the adapter. Put the engine in inspection mode. Refer to «INSPECTION MODE PROCEDURE»(/toyota/prius-phv/pre-iii-2010-2011/remont/hoistjack/#introduction-except-phv) . Warm up the engine. Check the oil pressure. Standard Oil Pressure Engine Condition Oil Pressure Idle 60 kPa (0.6 kgf/cm 2 , 8.7 psi) or more 2500 RPM 142 kPa (1.4 kgf/cm 2 , 21 psi) or more If the oil pressure is not as specified, check the oil pump. Refer to «INSPECTION»(/toyota/prius-phv/pre-iii-2010-2011/remont/lubrication-system/#engine-lubrication-system-service-information-except-phv) . Install the oil pressure switch. Refer to «INSTALLATION»(/toyota/prius-phv/pre-iii-2010-2011/remont/lubrication-system/#engine-lubrication-system-service-information-except-phv) .
