SHIFT LOCK ECU
Remove shift lock ECU. See SHIFT LEVER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity between terminals No. 2 and 4. (Scheme 231) If there is continuity, replace the shift lock ECU.

SHIFT LOCK SOLENOID
Remove shift lock solenoid. See SHIFT LEVER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between the terminals. (Scheme 232) If there is no continuity, replace the shift lock solenoid.
Check the solenoid operating sound when connecting the battery voltage across the terminals. (Scheme 233) If the solenoid does not operate, replace the shift lock solenoid.
