1. INSPECT TRANSFER OIL Remove the No. 1 transfer case plug and gasket from the transfer assembly. Check that the oil level is between 0 and 5 mm (0 and 0.197 in.) from the bottom lip of the case plug hole. *a 0 to 5 mm (0 to 0.197 in.) NOTE: When inspecting the transfer oil, make sure that the vehicle is level. An excessively large or small amount of oil may cause damage. After adding transfer oil, drive the vehicle and recheck the oil level. Check for oil leakage if the oil level is low. Install a new gasket to the No. 1 transfer case plug and then tighten the plug. Torque: 49 N*m (500 kgf*cm, 36 ft.*lbf)
2. ADJUST TRANSFER OIL Remove the No. 1 transfer case plug and gasket from the transfer assembly. Add transfer oil until the oil level is between 0 and 5 mm (0 and 0.197 in.) from the bottom lip of the case plug hole. *a 0 to 5 mm (0 to 0.197 in.) NOTE: When adding transfer oil, make sure that the vehicle is level. Add transfer oil a little at a time, waiting several minutes between each addition of transfer oil. After adding transfer oil, drive the vehicle and recheck the oil level. Oil Type Toyota Genuine Differential gear oil LT API GL-5 or equivalent Viscosity SAE 75W-85 Standard Capacity 0.8 liters (0.8 US qts, 0.7 Imp.qts) After waiting for approximately 5 minutes, recheck the oil level. Install a new gasket and the No. 1 transfer case plug to the transfer assembly. Torque: 49 N*m (500 kgf*cm, 36 ft.*lbf)

1. DRAIN TRANSFER OIL Remove the No. 1 transfer case plug and gasket from the transfer assembly. Remove the transfer drain plug and gasket and drain the transfer oil. Install a new gasket and the transfer drain plug. Torque: 49 N*m (500 kgf*cm, 36 ft.*lbf)
2. ADD TRANSFER OIL Add transfer oil until the oil level is between 0 and 5 mm (0 and 0.197 in.) from the bottom lip of the case plug hole. NOTE: When adding transfer oil, make sure that the vehicle is level. Add transfer oil a little at a time, waiting several minutes between each addition of transfer oil. After adding transfer oil, drive the vehicle and recheck the oil level. *a 0 to 5.0 mm (0 to 0.197 in.) Oil Type Toyota Genuine Differential gear oil LT API GL-5 or equivalent Viscosity SAE 75W-85 Standard Capacity 0.8 liters (0.8 US qts, 0.7 Imp.qts) After waiting for approximately 5 minutes, recheck the oil level. 1. REMOVE TRANSFER ASSEMBLY Refer to «REMOVAL [12/2013 - ]»(ref-636237-S17969269262014070700000)
2. REMOVE TRANSFER CASE OIL SEAL Using SST, remove the transfer case oil seal from the transfer assembly. SST: 09308-00010 NOTE: Do not damage the transfer case oil seal contact surface to the transfer assembly.
3. INSTALL TRANSFER CASE OIL SEAL Using SST and a hammer, install a new transfer case oil seal as shown in the illustration. SST: 09608-10010 SST: 09950-70010 09951-07150 Standard Depth 9.5 to 10.5 mm (0.375 to 0.413 in.) NOTE: Tap in the transfer case oil seal uniformly so that the transfer case oil seal is straight. Do not tap in the transfer case oil seal in too far. Apply a small amount of MP grease to the lip of the transfer case oil seal.

2. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY RH Refer to «REMOVAL [12/2013 - ]»(ref-636013-S34061528672014070700000)
3. REMOVE TRANSFER CASE OIL SEAL RH Using SST, remove the transfer case oil seal RH from the transfer assembly. SST: 09308-00010 NOTE: Do not damage the transfer case oil seal RH contact surface to the transfer assembly.
4. INSTALL TRANSFER CASE OIL SEAL RH Using SST and a hammer, install a new transfer case oil seal RH as shown in the illustration. SST: 09950-60010 09951-00350 09951-00580 09952-06010 SST: 09950-70010 09951-07150 Standard Depth 33.5 to 34.5 mm (1.32 to 1.35 in.) NOTE: Tap in the transfer case oil seal RH uniformly so that the transfer case oil seal RH is straight. Do not tap in the transfer case oil seal RH in too far. Apply a small amount of MP grease to the lip of the transfer case oil seal RH.
5. INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY RH Refer to «INSTALLATION [12/2013 - ]»(ref-636013-S09762730742014070700000)
6. ADD TRANSFER OIL See step 2
7. INSPECT TRANSFER OIL LEAK
