PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY Inspect the operation of the electrochromic inner rear view mirror assembly. *a Black Colored Tape *b Forward Sensor *c Bright *d Dark *e Battery *f Component without harness connected (Inner Rear View Mirror Assembly) Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 4 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 1. Press the AUTO switch. Attach black colored tape to the forward sensor to prevent it from sensing. Light up the mirror with an electric light, and check that the mirror surface changes from bright to dark. OK Mirror surface changes from bright to dark. If the result is not as specified, replace the inner rear view mirror assembly.

1. INSTALL INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY (w/o EC Mirror) Using a T20 "TORX" socket wrench, install the inner rear view mirror assembly with the screw as shown in the illustration. Torque: 1.5 N*m (15 kgf*cm, 13 in.*lbf)
2. INSTALL INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY (w/ EC Mirror) Using a T20 "TORX" socket wrench, install the inner rear view mirror assembly with the screw as shown in the illustration. Torque: 1.5 N*m (15 kgf*cm, 13 in.*lbf) Connect the connector.
3. INSTALL INNER RR VIEW MIRROR COVER (w/ EC Mirror) Engage the 6 claws. Slide the inner RR view mirror cover and engage the 2 claws to install the inner RR view mirror cover as shown in the illustration.
