SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
- ILLUMINATION CONTROL SYSTEM (Illuminated Entry System) The illuminated entry system has the following control functions: Control Outline Lighting Actuation Area-linked*1 When a registered key enters any actuation area around the doors, the lights that operate turn on. Engine switch illumination Map light assembly No. 1 room light assembly Door mirror foot light Door Lock/Unlock-linked When any door is unlocked, the lights that operate turn on. Engine switch illumination*1 Ignition key cylinder light*2 Map light assembly No. 1 room light assembly Door mirror foot light Interior foot light Inside handle illumination When all doors are closed, the lights that operate turn off. Door Open/Close-linked When any door is opened, the lights that operate turn on. OPERATION CHECK
- INSPECT ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM OPERATION NOTE: Perform this inspection with the customize parameters at the initial setting. HINT: The illuminated entry system illuminates the lights below. Engine switch illumination*1 Ignition key cylinder light*2 Map light No. 1 room light Door mirror foot light*3 Interior foot light*4 Inside handle illumination*5 The operation and condition of this control are described below. Operation Condition Lights fade in and illuminate constantly Any door is opened when all the doors are closed. Lights illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out When any of the following conditions is met: The key is brought within any vehicle exterior detection area when the ignition switch is off and all the doors are closed.*1 Any door is unlocked when the ignition switch is off and all the doors are closed and locked. The ignition switch is turned from ACC to off when all doors are closed. All the doors are closed when any door is opened and the ignition switch is off. Lights fade out immediately When either of the following conditions is met: The ignition switch is turned from off to ACC when all the doors are closed. All the doors are locked when the ignition switch is off, all the doors are closed and any door is unlocked. Battery saving The doors remain in the same condition for 20 minutes and the key is outside the vehicle exterior detection area.*1 The doors remain in the same condition for 20 minutes and the key is not inserted into the ignition key cylinder.*2 *1: w/o Smart Key System *2: w/ Smart Key System *3: w/ Door Mirror Foot Light *4: w/ Interior Foot Light *5: w/ Inside Handle Illumination
- INSPECT CENTER CONSOLE SPOT LIGHT CONTROL OPERATION NOTE: Perform this inspection with the customize parameter at the initial settings. HINT: The center console spot light control illuminates the light below. Center console spot light The operation and condition of this control are described below. Operation Condition Light fade in When either of the following conditions is met, the center console spot light fades in. The ignition switch is ACC The ignition switch is ON Light fade out The ignition switch is off.
DESCRIPTION
This circuit detects the ignition switch ON or off condition, and sends it to the main body ECU.

Disconnect the F8 or F9 main body ECU connector. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
