Electric Throttle Control System Calibration
- Select calibration procedure from table below. ELECTRIC THROTTLE CONTROL SYSTEM CALIBRATION REFERENCE CHART Calibration procedure Service item [A] ECM power supply shutoff (i.e. disconnection of battery cable, replacement of battery, "DOME" fuse blown) ECM replacement Clearance of DTC(s) related to electric throttle control system [B] Throttle body assembly replacement APP sensor assembly replacement
- Perform selected calibration procedure as follows. Calibration procedure [A]: Keep ignition switch in ON position for 5 seconds or more without running engine. Calibration procedure [B]: Disconnect negative cable from battery. Disconnect ECM connectors for 30 seconds or more to clear calibration data of closed throttle position from ECM. Connect ECM connectors and connect negative cable to battery. Keep ignition switch in ON position for 5 seconds or more without running engine.

Scheme 1: Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor Assembly On-Vehicle Inspection
- Check that APP sensor assembly has been mounted to vehicle body properly (no pinched floor carpet, etc.). If mounting is not properly, reinstall APP sensor assembly properly referring to «ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION (APP) SENSOR ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-514553-S34606802852012112100000) .
- Connect scan tool to DLC with ignition switch turned OFF.
- Turn ON ignition switch and select "Data List" mode on scan tool.
- Check that APP sensor voltage varies as the following graph. If sensor voltage is out of specified value or does not vary linearly as the following graph, check APP sensor assembly referring to «ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION (APP) SENSOR ASSEMBLY INSPECTION»(ref-514553-S08478307392012112100000) .
