INTRODUCTION

Note. For identification of ECM/PCM harness connectors and wire terminals, see PIN VOLTAGE CHARTS article.

Sensor operating range information can help determine if a sensor is out of calibration. An out-of-calibration sensor may not set a trouble code, but it may cause driveability problems.

For individual component and system diagnostic test procedures, see SYSTEM & COMPONENT TESTING article.

(1) Measured at PCM with ignition on. (2) Voltage toggles from 0-1 volt to 4-6 volts (4-5 volts on Aerio & Esteem) as magnet is passed by sensor face (one mm distance). (3) Voltage toggles from 0-1 volt to 4-6 volts as CMP sensor coupling is rotated. (4) Voltage toggles from 0-1 volt to 4-6 volts as crankshaft is turned slowly.
