STARTER NO-LOAD TEST
| CAUTION | DO NOT perform starter no-load test for more than 5 seconds, or starter may be damaged. |
- Connect ammeter, battery voltage and ground to starter. (Scheme 5) Ensure starter rotates smoothly, drive pinion moves outward and no-load current draw is within specification. See «STARTER SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-5028-S40480218222000080200000).
- Disconnect test equipment. Repair starter if starter no-load current draw is not within specification or drive pinion does not move outward. See «OVERHAUL»(ref-5028-S22473563672000080200000).
