INSTALLATION

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Identifying Combination Switch Terminals. Scheme 15

Move combination switch to respective positions and check continuity between terminals.

1. Remove duct (A) (when right side headlight is removed). (Scheme 20): Removing Duct (When Right Side Headlight Is Removed)
2. Disconnect headlight bulb connector. (Scheme 21): Disconnecting Headlight Bulb Connector
3. Remove three bolts and disconnect connectors, and then detach headlight assembly. (Scheme 22): Removing Bolts & Disconnecting Connectors

Install in the reverse order of removal.

REMOVAL

1. Remove duct (A) (when right side headlight is removed). (Scheme 23): Removing Duct (When Right Side Headlight Is Removed)
2. Disconnect harness connector.
3. Remove rubber cover.
4. Push to remove spring retainer, and then detach the headlight bulb.

1. Remove duct (A) (when right side headlight is removed). (Scheme 24): Removing Duct (When Right Side Headlight Is Removed)
2. Remove back cover (A). (Scheme 25): Removing Back Cover
3. Disconnect harness connector.
4. Push to remove spring retainer (A) (low beam) or turn bulb assembly (B) counterclockwise (high beam), and then detach headlight bulb. (Scheme 26): Removing Spring Retainer (Low Beam) Or Turning Bulb Assembly Counterclockwise (High Beam)

Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Remove headlight assembly. See «REMOVAL»(ref-176259-S05188155322005051200000), Headlight Assembly.
2. Turn the socket and remove the bulb. (Scheme 27): Removing Front Turn Signal Bulb

Install in the reverse order of removal.

2. Turn the socket and remove the bulb. (Scheme 28): Removing Parking & Side Bulb

1. Remove two clips and lower the mudguard. (Scheme 29): Removing Front Fog Light Assembly Clips (Except Outback)
2. Disconnect harness connector.
3. Remove mounting bolts, and then detach fog light assembly. (Scheme 30): Detaching Fog Light Assembly (Except Outback)

1. Turn stone guard counterclockwise, and then remove it. (Scheme 31): Removing Front Fog Light Assembly Stone Guard (Outback)
2. Remove mounting bolts. (Scheme 32): Removing Front Fog Light Assembly Bolts (Outback)
3. Remove two clips and lower the mudguard. (Scheme 33): Removing Front Fog Light Assembly Clips (Outback)
4. Disconnect harness connector (a).
5. Remove nut (b) then detach fog light assembly. (Scheme 34): Detaching Fog Light Assembly (Outback)

Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Remove the two clips and lower the mudguard. (Scheme 35): Removing Front Fog Light Assembly Clips (Except Outback)
2. Remove back cover (A). (Scheme 36): Removing Front Fog Light Assembly Back Cover (Except Outback)
3. Disconnect harness connector.
4. Remove spring retainer then detach fog light bulb.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Remove clips and then detach trunk rear trim. (Scheme 37): Removing Clips & Detaching Trunk Rear Trim (Sedan)
2. Remove hook (A) and then turn over the trunk side trim of rear portion. (Scheme 38): Removing Hook & Turning Over Trunk Side Trim Of Rear Portion (Sedan)
3. Remove harness clip (A).
4. Remove three nuts and then detach rear combination light while disconnecting connector. (Scheme 39): Removing Nuts & Rear Combination Light (Sedan)

Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Open the trunk lid.
2. Remove cover (A).
3. Disconnect connector (B) from rear finisher light.
4. Remove ten nuts and then detach rear finisher light from trunk lid. (Scheme 40): Detaching Rear Finisher Light (Sedan)

1. Remove rear gate lower trim. See «REMOVAL»(ref-175480-S27356980662005042100000), Rear Gate Trim.
2. Remove rear gate trim lower (A). (Scheme 41): Removing Rear Gate Trim Lower (Wagon)
3. Disconnect connector from rear finisher light.
4. Remove nuts (A) and then remove rear finisher light from rear gate. (Scheme 42): Removing Rear Finisher Light (Wagon)

Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Open trunk lid and remove cover. (Scheme 43): Removing Combination Light Cover (Sedan)
2. Turn the socket and remove the bulb.

1. Open trunk lid and remove cover. (Scheme 44): Removing Finisher Light (Sedan)
2. Turn the socket and remove the bulb.

1. Remove rear combination light assembly. See «WAGON»(ref-176259-S00136721332005051200000), REMOVAL, Rear Combination Light Assembly.
2. Turn the socket and remove the bulb. (Scheme 45): Removing Combination Light (Wagon)

1. Open rear gate lower trim cover. (Scheme 46): Opening Rear Gate Lower Trim Cover (Wagon)
2. Turn the socket and remove the bulb.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Open trunk lid and remove cover. (Scheme 47): Removing Cover For Back-Up Light Bulb (Sedan)
2. Turn the socket and remove the bulb.

1. Open rear gate lower trim cover. (Scheme 48): Opening Cover For Rear Gate Lower Trim (Wagon)
2. Turn the socket and remove the bulb.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

2. Turn the socket and remove the bulb.

2. Remove the light cover mounting screws then detach the cover.
3. Turn the socket and remove the bulb. (Scheme 50): Removing Bulb For Rear Turn Signal (Wagon)

Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Remove license plate light mounting screw (A) and then remove the lens (B) (Scheme 51): Removing License Plate Light Mounting Screw & Lens
2. Remove the bulb.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Disconnect connector of high-mounted stop light from body harness.
2. Remove bolts, then detach high-mounted stop light assembly. (Scheme 52): Removing High-Mounted Stop Light Assembly (Sedan Without Rear Spoiler)

Install in the reverse order of removal.

2. Disconnect harness connectors and remove spot light.

2. Disconnect harness connectors and remove luggage room light.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Remove the lens then detach the bulb.
