(1) Tighten to 71 INCH lbs. (8 N.m). (2) Tighten camshaft bearing cap bolts using 2 steps in sequence. (Scheme 490) (3) Tighten to 89 INCH lbs. (10 N.m). (4) Confirm tightening angle of crankshaft pulley bolt is 45 degrees or more. If not, replace bolt. (5) Tighten 10 mm cylinder block connecting bolts "A"-"D" in sequence. (Scheme 491) (6) Tighten 10 mm cylinder block connecting bolts "E"-"J" in sequence. (Scheme 492) (7) Tighten 6 mm and 8 mm cylinder block connecting bolts "A"-"G" in sequence. (Scheme 493) (8) Tighten to 53 INCH lbs. (6 N.m). (9) Apply a coat of engine oil to washers and bolt threads. (10) Tighten cylinder head bolts in sequence. (Scheme 494) (11) Tighten water pump bolts in sequence. (Scheme 495)
(1)Tighten to 71 INCH lbs. (8 N.m).
(2)Tighten camshaft bearing cap bolts using 2 steps in sequence. (Scheme 490)
(3)Tighten to 89 INCH lbs. (10 N.m).
(4)Confirm tightening angle of crankshaft pulley bolt is 45 degrees or more. If not, replace bolt.
(5)Tighten 10 mm cylinder block connecting bolts "A"-"D" in sequence. (Scheme 491)
(6)Tighten 10 mm cylinder block connecting bolts "E"-"J" in sequence. (Scheme 492)
(7)Tighten 6 mm and 8 mm cylinder block connecting bolts "A"-"G" in sequence. (Scheme 493)
(8)Tighten to 53 INCH lbs. (6 N.m).
(9)Apply a coat of engine oil to washers and bolt threads.
